Refreshing summer sips: 4 Ways to make homemade iced tea delight

Summer has already begun and I’m receiving numerous requests for a refreshing beverage option. Many of these requests share a common theme: replacing hot beverages like tea and coffee with a cold alternative. While I’ve already shared variations of cold coffee, iced tea remains another popular choice. Traditionally, it’s made with mint leaves, lemon slices, and juice combined with a strong black tea base. However, this recipe explores three additional popular variations. The first incorporates mango, perfect for embracing the mango season. The second features a watermelon flavor, ideal for staying hydrated during the summer months. Lastly, there’s an orange-flavored option, leveraging the year-round availability of oranges. The citrus flavor adds an interesting twist compared to the first two options.

Ingredients and step-by-step instructions for each type of iced tea

Preparing the iced tea decoction:

  • 4 tea bags
  • 3 cups hot water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice

To prepare the iced tea decoction, start by placing 4 tea bags into a large jug and pouring in 3 cups of hot water.

Notice: Ensure not to brew the decoction too long, as it may result in a bitter taste. Adjust the quantity of tea decoction according to your preferred flavor intensity. If you prefer a sweeter taste, consider adding sugar or honey. Moreover, you can utilize store-bought juice to create an alternative iced tea recipe.
